Bits and pieces

On Saturday we were back in Verulamium Park.  We had some odds and sods to complete: a partial grid square near the museum, a bit of the school playing field and then some squares near the hypocaust and finally a strip of squares along the western edge.  All rather fiddly but needing to be done.  Unfortunately, we had an attack of frozen sensors and we will have to re-do a square on Tuesday.  Of course, it had to be one of the more fiddly ones!  Our last grid square was partially through some long grass.  As we suspected, the cart system doesn’t really work in long grass as it all gets caught up in the bottom of the frame and the sensors.  We also lost the cap off the end of sensor No. 3 which is very annoying.

I have recently got some films back from the developers, and thought you might like to see the parch marks which were in the Park earlier in the summer.  What a shame the UAV flight was before these appeared!

Lastly, when people say “We’ve had a problem with the train…”, I doubt they have this in mind!

We’ll be out again for two more days this week.  Contact us in the normal way.
